Flying to Lima

Friday: my flight is delayed due to some volcanic activities in Guatemala. After 4h, I looked around, and lots people were lying on the floor, sleeping, talking, some of them just met and were talking about their past trips. That one of the good thing when you go to Peru, is that most of people going there for the same thing: visiting Macchu Picchu. so they have at least one interest in common, and make the wait much more enjoyable. I arrived in Lima at 3am, arrived to my hotel ~4am, then woke up ~9am for gear checking and last shopping. Leaving Lima to San Mateo ... I'm so happy !!!!

Great Peruvian challenge Part #1 - Itinerary

CENTRAL RANGE
… Almost there … the Great Peruvian challenge Part #1 kicking off. In this 1st part, we will explore the Central Range. It is a pretty remote area that we will access by bus from Lima. Each climb would be an opportunity to be one of the first women to climb those peaks. It is not a record chasing trip, but a true unique experience with a great friend. I’m really excited about this trip. Our itinerary is pretty straight forward 14days, 4 peaks. Minus: quick acclimatization, we will be already at 4500m the 2nd day Plus: we have plenty of spare days in case of bad weather Here our itinerary followed by the trip’s altitude chart then the routes we will climb … I will update that blog along our trip, with pictures, videos, and quick feedback.
